10 Fun Facts About Mrs. Engle
This is my tenth year teaching at Samuel Mickle School and my fourth year in fourth grade! I love teaching and seeing how much the students grow over the course of the year. Here are some other fun facts about me:
1. I grew up in Syracuse, New York and lived there most of my life.
2. I graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 2003 with a degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences. I went on to complete my Master's Degree in Inclusive Childhood Education at Le Moyne College and graduated in 2006. I taught special education for both fifth and sixth grade for five years in Upstate New York.
3. I moved to New Jersey in 2012 and have taught at Samuel Mickle since. Hornets rock!
4. This summer my son, Alex, turned six years old and my daughter, Sophia, turned three years old!
5. I am a huge sports fan and love going to all types of events! I grew up watching the Syracuse Orangemen in both football and basketball. I saw Donovan McNabb play when he was still in college!
6. I now enjoy going to Flyers, Sixers, Eagles, and Phillies games when I get the chance.
7. I also played field hockey and softball throughout high school and on club teams in college.
8. I enjoy traveling all over the place and would love to travel all of the world some day. I like to go up to New York to visit my family and spend time with them.
9. I also enjoy reading in my spare time and working out. I love to run and have completed a marathon and a handful of half marathons. I recently completed my first obstacle course mud run too!
